Accounts Payable Specialist
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Dublin, Ohio. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to an organization within the Restaurants & Catering industry. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in accounts payable processes and demonstrate efficiency in managing financial transactions and records. Responsibilities: • Process and verify invoices for accuracy, ensuring proper account coding and compliance with company policies. • Manage timely payments through Automated Clearing House (ACH) and check runs. • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve any discrepancies swiftly and effectively. • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and prepare reports as needed. • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper documentation and approval of invoices. • Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable. • Monitor vendor accounts to ensure payments are up-to-date and address payment inquiries. • Support the implementation and improvement of accounts payable processes where necessary. • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or a related finance role. • Proficiency in account coding and invoice processing. • Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) and check run procedures. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping. • Effective problem-solving skills to handle discrepancies and payment issues. • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. • Proficiency in Oracle or similar financial systems is preferred. • Solid understanding of financial regulations and compliance standards.
