Description We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist for a contract position with a reputable company located in The Woodlands, TX. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, capable of managing vendor relationships and processing high volumes of invoices efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your accounts payable expertise in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: + Process and analyze a high volume of vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payments. + Perform three-way matching of invoices with purchase orders and receipts. + Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records, including supporting documentation for audits. + Manage all communications with vendors to resolve discrepancies and ensure positive working relationships. + Verify vendor payment terms and ensure adherence to payment schedules. + Assist with weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers. + Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies or issues with invoices in a timely manner. + Reconcile accounts payable transactions and support month-end closing activities. + Provide recommendations for process improvements related to accounts payable operations. Requirements Qualifications: + 2+ years of accounts payable experience; contract accounting experience is a plus. + Strong proficiency with accounting software systems (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP). + Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. + Proactive, self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with vendors and internal teams. + Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, prioritize work, and meet tight deadlines.
