Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Denver, Colorado. This role requires someone who can quickly adapt to a fast-paced environment and contribute to the smooth operation of our accounts payable processes. As a key member of the team, you will play an important role in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting ongoing operations. Responsibilities: • Process accounts payable transactions with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring compliance with company policies. • Code and review invoices to the appropriate accounts, verifying all necessary documentation is present. • Handle ACH payments and perform check runs in a timely manner. • Assist in resolving discrepancies related to invoices or payments by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. • Support the cleanup and organization of accounts payable records to improve operational efficiency. • Ensure compliance with financial and accounting standards throughout all tasks. • Provide support during month-end close processes to ensure deadlines are met. • Work closely with team members to streamline workflows and improve overall processes. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role. • Strong knowledge of account coding and invoice processing. • Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments and check runs. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve discrepancies effectively. • Availability to work on-site and commit to a 40-hour workweek.
