Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Waltham, Massachusetts. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in invoice processing, and maintaining compliance with company standards. Responsibilities: • Process and review accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payment to vendors. • Verify and code invoices according to company guidelines and accounting standards. • Handle Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments and check runs efficiently. • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and reconcile discrepancies. • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve invoice-related issues and inquiries. • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all accounts payable activities. • Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing reports and reconciliations. • Identify opportunities to improve accounts payable processes and implement best practices. • Communicate effectively with vendors and suppliers to address payment-related concerns. • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role. • Strong knowledge of invoice coding and processing. • Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments and check runs. • Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team environment. • Knowledge of accounting principles and relevant regulations.
