Accounts Payable Specialist
Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Somerville, Massachusetts. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial transactions and ensuring the accuracy of invoice processing and payment cycles. This is a long-term contract position offering an excellent opportunity for growth in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: • Process invoices efficiently and accurately, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. • Monitor and manage the accounts payable mailbox to address inquiries and maintain communication with vendors. • Perform cash reconciliations to ensure proper alignment of financial records. • Handle full-cycle accounts payable processes, including coding, approving, and posting invoices. • Utilize Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations for managing accounting tasks and maintaining records. • Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and improve workflow efficiency. • Ensure timely payments to vendors while maintaining proper documentation and approvals. • Assist with periodic reporting and analysis related to accounts payable activities. • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries. • Maintain organized records to ensure compliance with industry and company standards. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or similar financial roles. • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or other accounting software. • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. • Ability to process invoices and reconcile accounts accurately and efficiently. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams. • Capability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. • Familiarity with the construction industry is a plus but not required.
