Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Santa Ana, California. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will play a vital role in managing full-cycle accounts payable processes to ensure accurate and timely financial operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong background in accounts payable and accounting systems. Responsibilities: • Process and review supplier invoices to ensure pricing, quantities, and purchase order details are accurate before entering them into the accounts payable system. • Assign appropriate general ledger codes to invoices and verify 3-way matches while adhering to company approval procedures. • Prepare and execute payment batches, including electronic payments and check runs, to meet deadlines. • Reconcile vendor statements with the accounts payable ledger to maintain accurate financial records. • Address inquiries from suppliers and employees regarding invoice payment statuses and resolve discrepancies. • Generate accounts payable reports, such as aging reports, to monitor outstanding balances and identify potential issues. • Perform additional tasks related to accounts payable as assigned, while adhering to company policies and procedures. • Ensure compliance with organizational rules and procedures during all financial processes. Requirements • Solid understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting cycles. • Exceptional customer service skills to handle inquiries with expertise and care. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to manage complex financial tasks. • Ability to effectively prioritize and multitask in a dynamic work environment. • Proven reliability and independence in completing responsibilities with attention to detail. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. • Familiarity with accounting software systems and ERP platforms. • Experience with high-volume invoicing, 3-way matching, and accrual accounting processes.
