Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable Specialist is an essential part of ensuring our financial processes support our commitment to delivering meaningful outcomes. Key Responsibilities: + Accurately processing invoices, expense reimbursements, and payment requests in compliance with organizational policies. + Managing vendor relationships, including responding to inquiries and resolving discrepancies. + Verifying invoices, purchase orders, and contracts to ensure proper documentation and approval processes. + Reconciling accounts payable balances and generating regular reports for internal reviews. + Assisting with audit preparations and ensuring compliance with non-profit regulatory and accounting standards. + Suggesting process improvements to enhance accounts payable workflow efficiency. Requirements + Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred). + 2+ years of accounts payable experience; previous work in the non-profit sector is a plus. + Solid understanding of accounts payable principles, general ledger coding, and relevant regulatory requirements. + Proficiency in accounting software (experience with [specific software, e.g., QuickBooks or NetSuite] preferred) and strong Microsoft Excel skills. + Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail. + Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams. + Familiarity with non-profit financial practices, including grant management (preferred).
