Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Rosemont, Illinois. This is a long-term contract position offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing accounts payable processes with precision and efficiency. Responsibilities: • Process and verify invoices by ensuring accurate coding and adherence to company policies. • Manage accounts payable workflows, including payments through Automated Clearing House (ACH) and check runs. • Reconcile discrepancies in invoices and resolve payment issues in a timely manner. • Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions. • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper account coding and approval processes. • Prepare reports and summaries related to accounts payable activities as needed. • Support month-end and year-end closing procedures by providing accurate documentation. • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company guidelines in all payable processes. • Assist in improving automation and efficiency within the accounts payable system. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or a related financial role. • Strong knowledge of invoice coding and payment processing, including ACH and check runs. • Familiarity with accounting software and tools used for accounts payable management. • Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle high-volume transactions. • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve discrepancies effectively. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. • Strong organizational and communication skills. • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
