Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in New York, New York. This is a long-term contract position offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and growing organization. The role involves handling key financial processes, collaborating with a supportive team, and working in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: • Process and verify invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper coding within the accounting system. • Manage accounts payable transactions, including ACH payments, check runs, and expense reimbursements. • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payments to vendors. • Maintain and update financial records, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. • Utilize accounting software, such as NetSuite or comparable systems, to manage workflows efficiently. • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable. • Generate reports and provide insights for financial analysis and decision-making. • Contribute to process improvements within the accounts payable function to increase efficiency. • Support audit activities by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries. • Maintain a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail in all financial operations. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Proven experience in accounts payable processes and financial operations. • Proficiency in accounting software, such as NetSuite, Intacct, or similar platforms. • Strong knowledge of ACH transactions, invoice coding, and check runs. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Excellent organizational and communication skills. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high levels of accuracy.
