Accounts Payable Specialist
Description We are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This long-term contract opportunity is ideal for someone with a strong background in managing payment processes, vendor relations, and invoice workflows. The role requires attention to detail, organizational expertise, and the ability to handle high volumes of transactions efficiently. Responsibilities: • Process vendor invoices using the Concur Invoice system, ensuring accuracy and timely approvals. • Manage bi-weekly payment runs, handling between 100 to 150 transactions per cycle. • Utilize US Bank’s single-point interface to execute payments, prioritizing efficiency and compliance. • Onboard new vendors by verifying documentation and conducting callback validations. • Maintain accurate vendor profiles and update records for seamless payment operations. • Address discrepancies and resolve issues related to invoices and payment workflows. • Collaborate with departments to respond to inquiries about invoices, payments, and vendor accounts. • Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls throughout the accounts payable process. • Monitor invoice workflows to meet deadlines and maintain compliance. • Support operational improvements by identifying opportunities for process optimization. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable processes, including invoice management and payment execution. • Proficiency in using Concur Invoice system and US Bank’s single-point interface. • Strong ability to handle high transaction volumes with accuracy and efficiency. • Familiarity with vendor onboarding procedures, including documentation verification and callback validations. • Knowledge of accounting principles and compliance standards. • Proficiency in tools such as Sage Intacct and Microsoft Excel. • Experience with Automated Clearing House (ACH) and check runs. • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
