Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Camarillo, California. This is a long-term contract position offering an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to contribute to efficient financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in invoice processing, account coding, and payment management. Responsibilities: • Process and verify invoices accurately, ensuring timely payments to vendors. • Assign appropriate account codes to invoices and reconcile discrepancies. • Manage Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and ensure compliance with payment protocols. • Execute regular check runs while maintaining accuracy and adherence to deadlines. • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice and payment-related issues. • Maintain organized records of accounts payable transactions for audit purposes. • Assist in month-end closing processes by preparing reports and reconciling accounts. • Identify opportunities to improve accounts payable processes and implement best practices. • Respond promptly to vendor inquiries and provide exceptional customer service. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related financial role. • Proficiency in managing invoice coding and payment processing. • Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and check runs. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping. • Effective communication skills for resolving vendor and departmental inquiries. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
