Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Richmond, California. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with a detail-oriented mindset and expertise in accounts payable processes. Responsibilities: • Process and verify invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies and proper authorization. • Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts to confirm accuracy. • Prepare and execute payments through checks, wire transfers, or other approved methods. • Reconcile vendor statements and address any discrepancies promptly. • Maintain detailed financial records and documentation for audit and reporting purposes. • Support month-end closing activities by assisting with reporting and reconciliation tasks. • Communicate with vendors to resolve payment inquiries and provide updates on payment status. • Utilize accounting software systems and ERP tools to streamline accounts payable processes. • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations. Requirements • Proficiency in account coding and accrual accounting principles. • Hands-on experience with accounting software systems such as Concur and ADP. • Familiarity with ERP systems and automated clearing house (ACH) processes. • Strong knowledge of accounts payable functions and auditing practices. • Excellent organizational and time-management skills. • Ability to reconcile complex financial data and resolve discrepancies. • Effective communication skills for vendor and team interactions. • Detail-oriented approach to maintain accuracy in financial transactions.
