Accounts Payable Specialist
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist in the Middlesex County, NJ area. This role involves invoice coding, invoice scanning, managing vendor payments, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, generating dismemberment checks, and supporting the overall accounts payable functions. The ideal candidate will also have experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365. Responsibilities: • Process accounts payable transactions, including coding, approvals, and accurate data entry into the accounting system. • Prepare and issue disbursement checks and wire transfers in a timely manner. • Review invoices for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with company policies and payment terms. • Maintain organized records by scanning and preserving invoices and other financial documents. • Handle vendor relations, including managing W-9 forms, addressing payment inquiries, and overseeing vendor credit applications. • Prepare and file 1099 tax forms in compliance with regulatory requirements. • Assist in the annual financial statement audit by compiling necessary documentation, accruals, and reports. • Provide support for financial data requests and keep management informed of any relevant issues. • Ensure all tasks are completed accurately and within established deadlines. • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the accounting team Requirements • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance. • A minimum of 3 years of Accounts Payable experience. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel. • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics or comparable accounting software. • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices. • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while meeting deadlines.
