ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST (REMOTE)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are searching for an Accounts Payable specialist to join our team to help process, track, and record payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. The AP specialist will have a daily, ongoing impact on financial transactions, keeping us on track, on time, and on good terms with our valued partners.

SKILLS:

Support the company in optimizing its financial transactions and systems.Reviewing invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment and confirming 3-way match.Perform invoice data entry.Generate purchase orders when necessary.Strengthen and grow relationships with vendors and suppliers through timely payments.Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts payable process.Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting.  Comply with all national and local financial regulations.Engage and leverage other departments in the company to accomplish joint projects or ad hoc assignments.

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

B.S. degree in accounting or related field of study, or a high school diploma/GED certificate with 5 years of accounts payable experience.Advanced excel and overall computer skills.Prior accounts payables experience needed

OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED

Strong communication and project management skills to effectively liaise with all departments within company.Strong work ethic with the flexibility to put in extra hours when needed.Detail-oriented, with the ability to identify all cost elements within requests.Ability to effectively manage multiple deadlines in a busy environment.Ability to respond quickly to changing business dynamics.Energetic approach with a strong attention to detail.
