Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Denver, Colorado. In this long-term contract role, you will play a critical part in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, and supporting project accountants with complex invoice processing and reconciliations. Responsibilities: • Process and code invoices accurately, ensuring proper account allocation. • Perform detailed reconciliations and journal entries to maintain financial records. • Collaborate with project managers and project accountants to resolve invoice-related inquiries. • Handle high volumes of invoices weekly, including complex transactions. • Utilize Excel functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUPs to analyze and manage data. • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure timely approvals and payments. • Conduct check runs and manage Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions. • Adapt quickly to new systems and tools to optimize workflows. • Support year-end financial processes and reporting as needed. • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures during all financial operations. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role within the construction or contractor industry. • Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs. • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. • Ability to handle high-volume and complex invoice processing effectively. • Knowledge of ACH transactions and check run processes. • Excellent communication skills for interacting with project managers and accountants. • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new accounting systems. • Familiarity with reconciliation processes and journal entries.
