Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Houston, Texas. This is a long-term contract position with the potential for hybrid work arrangements in the future, though candidates should be prepared to work fully in-office initially. The role requires someone with strong attention to detail, capable of managing complex accounts payable processes and contributing to financial analysis.
Responsibilities:
• Handle full-cycle accounts payable processes, including reviewing, coding, and processing invoices.
• Analyze and resolve discrepancies in complex accounts payable transactions.
• Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills, such as pivot tables, to support financial reporting and data analysis.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely payments and accurate records.
• Assist in maintaining general ledger accuracy through thorough reconciliation and verification processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in all accounts payable activities.
• Support the team with financial insights and recommendations based on detailed analysis.
• Leverage oil and gas industry experience, if applicable, to enhance operational efficiency.
• Provide detailed reporting and insights to management as needed. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable, including handling complex transactions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with advanced capabilities such as pivot tables.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with general ledger processes and financial reconciliation.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Oil and gas industry experience is preferred but not required.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Commitment to working in-office with flexibility for potential hybrid arrangements in the future.
