Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in New York, New York. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our accounts payable operations while adhering to company policies and procedures. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in accounting systems and process optimization. Responsibilities: • Process invoices daily with precision, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards. • Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies promptly through effective communication. • Generate daily reports on invoice processing and track outstanding items. • Maintain organized and accurate records of all accounts payable transactions. • Analyze and address discrepancies in payments and unpaid invoices to maintain smooth operations. • Evaluate and improve workflow processes to enhance payment efficiency. • Ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies related to accounts payable. • Utilize ERP systems and accounting software to manage accounts payable data effectively. • Collaborate with the Shared Services team to support additional tasks and projects as needed. Requirements • Proficiency in account coding and managing accounting functions. • Experience with accounting software systems such as ADP and Workday. • Familiarity with ERP systems and enterprise resource planning tools. • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and accrual accounting. • Ability to audit and analyze financial data effectively. • Expertise in automated clearing house (ACH) transactions and payment systems. • Prior experience with Concur or similar expense management platforms. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
