Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in New York, New York. This is a long-term contract position within the retail industry, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial operations and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in accounts payable processes and advanced Excel skills to streamline operations. Responsibilities: • Process invoices related to operating expenses accurately and efficiently. • Ensure proper coding of invoices and collaborate with teams to maintain consistency. • Utilize Concur system to manage and verify coding details for financial transactions. • Handle cash application tasks, including posting transactions as needed. • Prepare and manage ACH payments and check runs in compliance with company protocols. • Leverage advanced Excel functions, such as pivot tables and V-lookups, to analyze and organize data. • Work within large enterprise systems to maintain organized and precise financial records. • Coordinate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies in payments or coding. • Support team members in maintaining compliance with accounting standards and procedures. • Contribute to the improvement of accounts payable workflows and processes. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or related financial roles. • Proficiency in handling account coding and invoice processing. • Familiarity with Concur or similar financial systems. • Expertise in Automated Clearing House (ACH) and check run processes. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and V-lookups. • Strong organizational and analytical capabilities. • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. • Experience with large enterprise systems preferred.
