Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Sacramento, California. This is a Contract position where you will play a key role in managing and maintaining financial transactions with accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and has strong expertise in handling accounting functions and systems. Responsibilities: • Process and verify invoices to ensure accurate coding and timely payment. • Utilize accounting software systems and ERP platforms to manage financial data. • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. • Monitor and process ACH payments, ensuring compliance with established procedures. • Collaborate with the auditing team to support internal and external audits. • Maintain accurate records of transactions and prepare accrual accounting reports. • Review and validate financial documents for completeness and accuracy. • Assist in implementing automated processes to enhance efficiency in accounts payable. • Communicate with vendors to address payment inquiries and resolve issues. • Ensure adherence to company policies and financial regulations in all transactions. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or similar accounting roles. • Proficiency with accounting software systems, including QuickBooks. • Knowledge of ERP systems and their application in financial management. • Strong understanding of accrual accounting principles and practices. • Familiarity with ACH payment processing and related procedures. • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of data. • Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams. • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
