Description We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This Contract-to-Permanent position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and has a strong aptitude for managing high volumes of invoices while maintaining accuracy and efficiency. The role will involve extensive collaboration with internal teams and vendors, requiring strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Responsibilities: • Process approximately 40 invoices daily, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards. • Perform 2-way matching of invoices and purchase orders to maintain precise records. • Manage wire transactions promptly and accurately, adhering to established procedures. • Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to resolve discrepancies and streamline workflows. • Utilize advanced Excel functions, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and formulas, for reconciliations and reporting. • Maintain organized records and support month-end and year-end closing processes. • Identify inefficiencies in processes and propose proactive solutions to enhance productivity. • Ensure consistent adherence to financial policies and procedures while managing accounts payable tasks. Requirements • Previous experience in Accounts Payable or a similar high-volume financial role. • Proficiency in 2-way matching processes and managing wire transactions. • Advanced knowledge of Excel functions such as VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and formulas. • Familiarity with accounting software like Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, QuickBooks, Oracle, or NetSuite. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage complex workflows. • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with vendors and internal teams. • Ability to proactively identify issues and implement solutions. • Knowledge of purchase orders and invoice coding processes.
