Accounts Payable Specialist
Description Our well-established healthcare client is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support them for the next 10-12 months to assist with their Accounts Payable functions in Workday. Title: AP Specialist Location: Remote (Must be willing to work PST hours) Job status: Full-time, 40 hrs/ week Job Description • Handle the processing of all invoices received for payment in an accurate, efficient and timely manner (high-volume). • Manage vendor relationships and build effective partnerships. • Perform monthly reconciliations of assigned accounts. • Assist in the migration of data to Workday, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. • Use your skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Month End Close, and Vendor Account management to enhance the efficiency of our operations. • Collaborate with other team members to complete duties as needed. • Help the team with the month-end and year-end close process. • Maintain accurate historical records by filing documents physically and digitally. • Prepare reports detailing accounts payable status. • Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts payable process. Requirements Requirements • A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and systems • Ability to manage month-end close procedures efficiently • Experience in managing vendor accounts • At least 2 years of hands-on experience managing AP in Workday ERP or Workday Financials • Strong skillset in Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, etc) • Proficient in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy • Strong organizational and time management skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team • Experience with Power BI and the Microsoft Power Suite is heavily preferred • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred • Knowledge of non-profit accounting principles is advantageous • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion is essential • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make ethical decisions • Excellent customer service skills for interacting with vendors and internal departments.
