Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Nashville, Tennessee near BNA airport. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with strong accounting skills to contribute to a dynamic workplace. The position involves managing financial transactions and ensuring compliance with corporate policies. Responsibilities: • Process vendor invoices with accuracy and compliance to company policies. • Reconcile vendor statements to ensure accounts are balanced and accurate. • Prepare and execute timely payments to vendors, including ACH and other methods. • Maintain detailed and organized records of accounts payable activities. • Support month-end closing tasks by preparing necessary reports and documentation. • Collaborate with internal teams to address and resolve invoice discrepancies or payment issues. • Assist in audits by providing required documentation and financial data. • Stay informed about updates in accounting regulations and industry practices. • Utilize ERP systems and accounting software to streamline accounts payable processes. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or related accounting functions. • Proficiency in accounting software such as ADP, Concur, and ERP systems. • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, accrual accounting, and account coding. • Experience with auditing and reconciliation of financial records. • Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) payment methods. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work collaboratively with internal departments to resolve issues. • Understanding of accounting regulations and industry standards.
