Description Our client, a highly-regarded organization in El Cajon, CA, is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team. Key Responsibilities: + Manage end-to-end accounts payable processes, including review, coding, and posting of invoices for accuracy and compliance. + Build and maintain vendor relationships, address inquiries, and resolve discrepancies promptly. + Prepare and process payment runs, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers, ensuring timely payments to vendors. + Review and ensure approvals are completed for invoices per company policy and compliance guidelines. + Audit and process employee expense reports in compliance with company policies. + Reconcile vendor statements, identify discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items. + Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable files and documentation. + Assist with accounts payable reconciliations, accruals, and other tasks to support accurate financial closing. Requirements + Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required. + 2+ years of accounts payable experience + Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and formulas. + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage a high volume of invoices. + Effective communication skills to liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders. + Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. + Familiarity with 1099 and sales tax regulations is a plus.
