Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Austin, Texas on a contract basis. This role offers a flexible part-time schedule of 20-30 hours per week and involves supporting a small, publicly traded company in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing accounts payable processes and have a strong working knowledge of NetSuite. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage the accounts payable inbox, ensuring timely responses and processing of invoices. • Perform reconciliations, including handling credit card reconciliations across multiple accounts. • Accurately enter and code invoices into the accounting system using NetSuite. • Review and process purchase orders and expense reports in compliance with company policies. • Collaborate with subsidiaries to ensure accurate financial reporting and payment processing. • Utilize tools like Microsoft Excel and Expensify for data management and reporting. • Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies as needed. • Support the preparation of financial documents and reports for internal and external stakeholders. • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies throughout all accounts payable activities. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable, preferably within a publicly traded company. • Proficiency in NetSuite and familiarity with accounting systems. • Strong knowledge of purchase orders and invoice processing. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Experience with expense management tools such as Expensify. • Ability to manage reconciliations across multiple credit cards and accounts. • Familiarity with working across subsidiaries and handling intercompany transactions. • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
