Description We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our accounts payable processes while maintaining strong vendor relationships. Key Responsibilities: + Accurately process a high volume of vendor invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies and payment terms. + Perform three-way match (purchase order, invoice, and receiving document) to verify and approve payments. + Ensure expense coding is accurate and properly documented. + Prepare and schedule weekly and monthly check runs, ACH, and wire transfers. + Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any discrepancies in a timely and professional manner. + Reconcile AP subledger to the general ledger and assist with month-end close. + Maintain vendor records, including W-9s and compliance with 1099 reporting requirements. + Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement to optimize the AP workflow. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, accounting, and finance. Requirements + 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting. + Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and strong Excel skills (pivot tables and VLOOKUPs preferred). + Strong understanding of AP processes, GAAP, and internal controls. + Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy. + Proven problem-solving and analytical skills to resolve payment issues. + Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively. + Knowledge of 1099 compliance and reporting regulations is a plus.
