Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Winston Salem, North Carolina. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions within a dynamic steel manufacturing environment. This position is Contract with the possibility of becoming permanent, offering an excellent opportunity to grow within the organization. Responsibilities: • Process and verify invoices, ensuring accurate coding and timely payments. • Utilize accounting software systems, including ERP platforms, to manage accounts payable functions. • Handle accrual accounting and ensure compliance with established financial procedures. • Conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies and maintain accuracy in financial records. • Manage automated clearing house (ACH) transactions and other electronic payment methods. • Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to resolve invoice-related issues. • Maintain detailed records of all accounts payable activities for reporting purposes. • Assist in month-end and year-end financial closings by preparing relevant data. • Ensure adherence to company policies and regulations regarding financial transactions. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or similar financial roles. • Proficiency with accounting software systems, including ERP platforms. • Strong understanding of accrual accounting and financial auditing processes. • Familiarity with automated clearing house (ACH) transactions and electronic payments. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. • Strong communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal stakeholders. • Knowledge of Concur and ADP financial services is a plus.
