Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in San Francisco, California. This position will involve managing high-volume invoice processing and overseeing payment approvals in a fast-paced non-profit environment. Ideal candidates will have a background in affordable housing operations and familiarity with property management systems. Responsibilities: • Process 200-250 invoices weekly with accuracy and efficiency. • Manage full-cycle accounts payable operations, including payment approvals. • Handle transactions across 40 different bank accounts tied to 45 individual properties. • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and financial procedures. • Collaborate with the Interim Accounting Manager to address operational needs. • Utilize Yardi property management software for invoice processing and data management. • Maintain records and documentation to support audits and reporting. • Resolve discrepancies and issues related to payments and vendor accounts. • Provide timely updates and reports to support decision-making. • Work onsite five days a week to ensure seamless communication and task execution. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of accounts payable experience in a detail-oriented setting. • Familiarity with Yardi property management software is required. • Proven ability to manage high-volume invoice processing. • Experience in affordable housing or non-profit organizations is strongly preferred. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. • Availability to work onsite throughout the contract period.
