Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our manufacturing client in Cranston, Rhode Island. This role is essential in ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, vendor payments, and reconciliations. Responsibilities: • Process approximately 300 invoices weekly with accuracy and attention to detail. • Prepare and execute regular check runs to ensure timely vendor payments. • Reconcile vendor accounts to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate records. • Manage 1099 forms and ensure compliance with IRS regulations. • Collaborate with vendors to address payment inquiries and provide excellent support. • Utilize major ERP systems to streamline accounts payable processes and reporting. • Maintain updated records of W-9 forms and commission payments. • Generate reports and analyze accounts payable data using Microsoft Excel. • Assist with internal audits and contribute to process improvement initiatives. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role. • Strong knowledge of 1099 forms and IRS W-9 regulations. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions. • Familiarity with major ERP systems and their accounts payable modules. • Ability to manage high volumes of invoices and meet tight deadlines. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Strong communication skills for vendor and team interactions. • Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.
