Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Seattle, Washington. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong background in handling financial transactions and accounting processes. You will play a vital role in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in accounts payable functions. Responsibilities: • Process and code invoices accurately, ensuring all transactions are recorded in alignment with company policies. • Utilize accounting software systems to manage accounts payable workflows and maintain organized financial records. • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper account coding and adherence to financial protocols. • Manage payment processing tasks, including ACH transfers and other automated payment methods. • Perform audits and reviews of financial documents to ensure compliance with regulations and company standards. • Assist in accrual accounting processes, including month-end and year-end closing activities. • Support ERP system operations related to accounts payable and financial reporting. • Ensure timely and accurate payment to vendors while maintaining positive vendor relationships. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable and accounting functions. • Proficiency in using accounting software systems, such as Concur and ADP. • Strong understanding of account coding and accrual accounting principles. • Familiarity with ERP systems and their application in financial processes. • Knowledge of auditing practices and ACH payment procedures. • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to handle high volumes of transactions. • Effective communication skills for collaborating with vendors and internal teams. • Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and meet deadlines consistently.
