Accounts Payable Specialist
Description We are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Loveland, Colorado. This is a long-term contract position within the manufacturing industry, offering an opportunity to manage and optimize financial operations. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in accounts payable, account reconciliation, and financial software systems. Responsibilities: • Process and manage accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. • Perform account coding and verify the accuracy of invoices before processing payments. • Utilize accounting software systems, such as Oracle, to maintain and update financial records. • Conduct regular account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations and currency conversions. • Audit financial records to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve payment discrepancies and improve workflow efficiency. • Prepare and maintain detailed financial reports for management review. • Support month-end and year-end closing processes through accurate data entry and reconciliation. • Use tools like Microsoft Excel to analyze financial data and generate reports. • Assist in the implementation of improvements to accounts payable processes and controls. Requirements • A minimum of 7 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field. • Proficiency in account coding, account reconciliation, and auditing processes. • Advanced knowledge of accounting software systems, including Oracle. • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and analyze spreadsheets. • Experience with bank reconciliations and currency conversion processes. • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management. • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines. • Familiarity with compliance standards and best practices in financial operations.
