Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Stamford, Connecticut. In this role, you will be responsible for managing key aspects of the accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial transactions. Responsibilities: • Process and code vendor invoices accurately while adhering to company policies and procedures. • Reconcile accounts payable transactions, including performing three-way matching for purchase orders, receipts, and invoices. • Maintain organized and up-to-date vendor records, ensuring all relevant information is accurate and secure. • Handle international currency transactions and ensure compliance with applicable regulations. • Utilize ERP systems to manage accounts payable processes and streamline workflows effectively. • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure timely payments and resolve discrepancies. • Monitor and manage payable invoices to meet deadlines and avoid late penalties. • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities as needed. • Provide support in implementing and maintaining accounting software systems. • Work closely with vendors to address inquiries and resolve payment issues efficiently. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a closely related field. • Proficiency with ERP systems and accounting software. (D365 is preferred) • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, including three-way matching. • Familiarity with international currency transactions is highly desirable. • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for vendor and team collaboration. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
