Accounts Payable Specialist
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This role offers a Contract to permanent opportunity for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records. If you have a strong background in accounts payable and excel at managing utility bills and data tracking, we encourage you to apply. **Please note: this is an in-office position in Chattanooga, Tennessee** Responsibilities: • Manage utility bill processing for multiple locations, including capturing, updating, and tracking data in spreadsheets and internal systems. • Conduct month-over-month analysis of utility expenses to identify anomalies and address them promptly. • Oversee the approval process for invoices. • Perform weekly check runs and occasional ad hoc payment runs as needed. • Maintain and update reports related to utility accounts, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date. • Retrieve vendor bills from various sources, including mail, email, and online portals. • Utilize Excel for data entry, tracking, and reporting purposes. • Collaborate with team members during cross-training and knowledge transfer to ensure smooth transitions. • Ensure bills on autopay are monitored for accuracy and compliance with payment schedules.
