Description PART TIME, UP TO 25 HOURS We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Evanston, Illinois. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while contributing to the efficiency of our accounts payable operations. Responsibilities: • Process daily expense reports with precision to ensure timely reimbursements. • Manage credit card reconciliations to guarantee accuracy in financial records. • Oversee invoice handling, including verification, coding, and timely payments. • Update and maintain tax management processes in compliance with regulatory standards. • Reorganize and optimize utility autopay systems for improved efficiency. • Perform account coding and ensure proper allocation of expenses. • Utilize accounting software systems, including ERP platforms, to streamline workflows. • Conduct audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions. • Facilitate ACH transactions to support seamless payment processing. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance accounts payable procedures. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable and accrual accounting processes. • Proficiency in accounting software systems, including ERP platforms. • Familiarity with ADP Financial Services and Concur systems. • Strong understanding of account coding and automated clearing house (ACH) payments. • Ability to manage auditing tasks and resolve discrepancies effectively. • Solid knowledge of general accounting functions and principles. • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills. • Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and vendors.
