Description We are looking for a meticulous and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Addison, Texas. In this role, you will handle critical financial tasks such as invoice processing, vendor communication, and payment reconciliation to support the company’s financial health. This is a long-term contract position, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Process and verify incoming invoices, ensuring accurate coding and compliance with company policies.
• Prepare and execute vendor payments through various methods, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers, within established payment terms.
• Maintain and update vendor records, promptly addressing any discrepancies or inquiries regarding payment status.
• Perform regular reconciliations of accounts payable transactions to ensure accuracy and alignment with financial records.
• Generate detailed monthly and quarterly reports on accounts payable activity for management review.
• Ensure all financial transactions adhere to applicable regulations and corporate policies.
• Collaborate with the finance team to identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in the accounts payable function. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems and ERP platforms such as NetSuite.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, accrual accounting, and account coding.
• Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze data and generate accurate financial reports.
• Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with vendors and internal teams.
