Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Honolulu, Hawaii, on a contract basis. Responsibilities: • Process a high volume of accounts payable invoices monthly, ensuring accuracy and timely payments. • Address and resolve discrepancies related to vendor invoices and payment records. • Maintain and update purchase orders using Excel, ensuring all entries are organized and accurate. • Record and reconcile petty cash transactions, ensuring proper usage and resolving any discrepancies. • Support general accounting tasks, including maintaining accurate financial documentation. • Assist with administrative duties related to accounting processes. • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all financial operations. Requirements • Proficiency in accounts payable processes, including invoice coding and payment systems. • Strong knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks. • Familiarity with accrual accounting and Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions. • Skilled in managing purchase orders and petty cash reconciliations. • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping. • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a contract role. • Solid understanding of general accounting principles and practices.
