Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client's team in Clackamas, OR. This is a long-term contract opportunity within the manufacturing industry, where you will play a vital role in managing financial operations and ensuring accuracy in payment processing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable functions and a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities: • Process and manage 100-150 invoices weekly, ensuring accuracy and timely entry into the system. • Handle mail related to invoices, including receiving and organizing incoming documents. • Accurately code invoices and prepare them for payment processing. • Conduct bi-weekly check runs, averaging $400,000, while ensuring compliance with company policies. • Perform general ledger (GL) coding to maintain accurate financial records. • Support shared services operations across multiple subsidiaries within the parent company. • Utilize SAP to streamline accounts payable processes. • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth auditing processes. • Manage Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions and other electronic payment methods. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable operations within a manufacturing or similar industry. • Proficiency in ERP systems. • Strong knowledge of account coding and general ledger processes. • Familiarity with accrual accounting principles and practices. • Ability to handle high volumes of invoices and payments efficiently. • Experience with auditing and maintaining compliance in financial transactions. • Knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) processes and electronic payment methods. • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
