We have an excellent opportunity for an **Accounts Payable Regional Team Leader** to join our team in **Latam** !
The **Accounts Payable Regional Team Leader** provides administrative, leadership and direction to Accounts Payables Customer support teams (focal points/helpdesk) responsible for operations across multiple countries, ensuring compliance with local tax and regulatory requirements for LATAM region.
**Responsabilities**
+ Managing AP Operations: Supervise the day-to-day Accounts Payables customer support processes for LATAM, ensuring timely and accurate processing of internal and external queries received.
+ Local Compliance: Ensure adherence to regional tax laws, VAT, and other local accounting standards.
+ Vendor Management: Build strong relationships with vendors and resolve any payment issues or discrepancies.
+ Team Leadership: Lead, train, and develop the APAY customer service team, ensuring efficiency and alignment with regional practices.
+ Process Improvement: Implement process standardization and automation to improve efficiency across LATAM. Work closely with other teams (supply chain, procurement, tax etc) to implement projects/improvements
+ Reporting & Controls: Generate timely reports (controls & reconciliations)
+ Cross-border Payments: Oversee multi-currency payments, managing banking relationships with Treasury team and ensure foreign exchange compliance.
+ Risk & Project Management: Mitigate risks, lead regional transformation initiatives, and ensure compliance with internal and external audits.
+ Communication with Management: Report on APAY customer service team performance, challenges, and opportunities to senior management
**Requirements**
+ Previous experience managing multi-cultural teams
+ Fluent English communications skills (written and verbal)
+ Availability to work with a hybrid work arrangement
+ LATAM tax knowledge
+ The role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, leadership and an understanding of the regional financial landscape.
+ Prefered Location: Brazil or Argentina
