Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis for a fully-onsite position in Albert Lea, MN. In this role, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, effectively handling payables and receivables, and maintaining accurate financial records. Proficiency in QuickBooks is essential, as you will use this platform for tracking, reconciling, and reporting key financial data. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, have excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong eye for accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable (AP):
+ Review, verify, and process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy of charges and proper approval procedures.
+ Ensure timely payment of invoices and expense reimbursements while optimizing cash flow.
+ Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies with vendors.
+ Maintain vendor files and set up new vendor accounts in QuickBooks.
Accounts Receivable (AR):
+ Generate and distribute customer invoices and ensure timely collection of outstanding payments.
+ Monitor accounts for overdue payments and follow up appropriately, including preparing and sending reminders or statements.
+ Reconcile customer payments with outstanding invoices and address any payment discrepancies.
+ Maintain accurate records of AR accounts and ensure compliance with company policies.
QuickBooks Management:
+ Record financial transactions, including processing bills, payments, invoices, and deposits, in QuickBooks.
+ Generate and review financial reports to ensure accurate tracking of transactions.
+ Assist with reconciliation of bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger entries within QuickBooks.
+ Support documentation and tracking for audits and compliance purposes using the platform.
Requirements
• A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience with a focus on detail and precision.
•MUST HAVE Proficiency in QuickBooks for managing financial transactions.
• Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Familiarity with month-end close procedures and financial reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasks.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
