Description
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Director to lead and transform the accounts payable department in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage high-volume invoice processing while fostering collaboration with the accounting team. The ideal candidate will be adept at implementing efficient workflows and ensuring seamless reconciliation within the organization's systems.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the accounts payable team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of over 10,000 invoices weekly.
• Lead the transition from a disbursement-focused culture to an optimized accounts payable department.
• Collaborate closely with the accounting team to maintain alignment on financial goals and reconciliations.
• Manage and mentor a team of disbursement professionals, fostering growth and accountability.
• Ensure proper coding of invoices, ACH payments, and check runs for smooth operations.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions within the organization's systems, including NetSuite and bill.com.
• Develop and maintain efficient workflows for handling high-volume transactions and automating processes.
• Provide strategic oversight to improve department performance and implement best practices.
• Monitor and report key metrics to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
• Partner with leadership to align accounts payable functions with broader organizational objectives.

Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounts payable management or a related field.
• Strong knowledge and experience with accounts payable processes, including coding invoices and check runs.
• Proficiency with financial systems such as NetSuite and bill.com.
• Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume invoice processing and reconciliation.
• Skilled in automated clearing house (ACH) transactions and other payment methods.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
