**Job Description**
The primary purpose of this position is to provide various accounts payable/vendor payment services and to audit and process travel claims/employee business expense reports. The position will also serve as administrative support to the office and provide customer service to incoming clientele.
**Salary Range:** $21.90 - $29.65 / hourly; $45,727 - $61,909 / annually
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Skill in customer service sufficient to provide courteous and efficient service and communicate effectively with internal and external customers, explain policies and procedures, and handle complaints from clients who may be hostile, confused, or agitated.
+ Knowledge of accounting procedures sufficient to post, code and process accounting documents.
+ Knowledge of basic accounting and business principles sufficient to monitor, collect and analyze data and implement minor procedural and transactional changes in fiscal operations.
+ Knowledge of arithmetic and mathematics sufficient to compute the totals, averages, and percentages of numerical data and to check or reconcile data.
+ Ability to use computer, telephone system, email, printers, copy machine and calculator.
+ Ability read and comprehend a variety of materials sufficient to follow detailed instructions.

+ Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment.
+ Knowledge of the state’s accounting system sufficient to input and access information in computer systems and identify and adjust for potential problems.
+ Knowledge of law, policies, procedures and Legislative Auditor and Department of Finance requirements for handling and depositing state funds.
+ Knowledge of office procedures, methods, equipment, a variety of financial software products.
**Other Requirements**
Work safely at all times, which includes but is not limited to, participating and completing all required safety trainings, as well as performing all job tasks in accordance with Minnesota State University, Mankato policies and procedures utilizing appropriate tools, equipment and personal protective equipment.
