Accounts payable coordinator

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:

As a member of the Finance team, your main responsibility will be to act as a coordinator within the Shared Services Center, especially with the Accounts Payable group. Reporting to the AP Manager, the Coordinator will act as a team leader and change agent in the current transformation of the finance group. In addition, you will be responsible for: 
● Coordinate, supervise and organize all the activities of the accounts payable team in charge of the US & Canadian entities, a team of 22 people. 
● Act as a leader in the implementation of a new automation tools for the invoice entry process at both the operational and change management levels for entities under his responsibility. 
● Actively participate in standardizing practices and processes across the team to achieve best practices and meet internal control requirements. 
● Maintain and build governance mechanisms to identify departmental issues, including developing monitoring tools and working closely with other departments involved in the process. 
● Monitor and present measurement indicators necessary for the evaluation of the department's performance. 
● Carry out various projects concerning the optimization of processes, and the improvement of services provided to suppliers (external clients) as well as to other BRP departments (internal clients). 
● Ensure a high level of quality by reviewing the analyses and accounting entries made by the team members and by questioning our methods. 

YOUR SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES 

● Bachelor's degree in business management, accounting or finance option. 
● General accounting an asset. 
● Bilingual (Spanish/English). 
● SAP knowledge an asset. 
● A minimum of three to five (3 to 5) years of relevant experience, experience in personnel management. 
● Strong communication, interpersonal and change management skills. 
● Mobilizing leadership, team spirit. 
● Autonomy and initiative. 
● Organization, planning and priority management. 
● Analytical skills and good risk management.
