Description We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Carson, California. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in managing financial records, ensuring timely payments, and supporting audit preparation processes. This position is ideal for individuals who have a strong aptitude for numbers and a commitment to accuracy. Responsibilities: • Collect and organize financial documents to create electronic records for auditors. • Compile and analyze data to support accurate reporting. • Assist in reconciling invoices using systems such as FishBowl and other accounting tools. • Submit invoices for approval and processing within accounting systems, including Xero or QuickBooks. • Prepare payment remittances and, when necessary, issue checks. • Conduct research and reconcile transactions, including credit card charges and deposits. • Ensure proper coding of invoices for accurate record-keeping. • Perform routine account reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy. • Support audit preparation tasks by providing necessary documentation and data. • Enter and update financial records with precision and efficiency. Requirements • Experience in accounts payable processes, including invoice submission and reconciliation. • Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records. • Basic knowledge of coding invoices and check runs. • Excellent organizational and time-management skills. • Ability to research and resolve discrepancies in financial transactions. • Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and auditors.
