Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Glen Burnie, Maryland. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day operations of our accounting department. Your attention to detail and ability to manage vendor relationships will directly contribute to the smooth operation of our accounts payable processes. Key Responsibilities: + Accurately process and post invoices in a timely manner + Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies + Prepare and issue checks with appropriate documentation and approvals + Review, verify, and balance financial data to ensure accuracy + Maintain up-to-date and accurate vendor account information + Follow up on overdue invoices and address issues related to returned or rejected payments Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable. • Proficiency in processing invoices and posting journal entries. • Strong knowledge of disbursement procedures and balancing financial data. • Familiarity with creating and managing balance sheets. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to handle past due accounts and resolve payment issues effectively.
