Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Saint Louis, Missouri. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with strong organizational skills and a background in accounts payable functions. Responsibilities: • Review and process invoices to ensure accuracy and proper coding. • Perform regular check runs and manage payment disbursement schedules. • Verify and reconcile discrepancies in accounts payable transactions. • Maintain accurate records of all payments and invoices within the designated system. • Communicate with vendors to resolve payment or invoice-related inquiries. • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures during invoice processing. • Assist in month-end closing activities by providing accounts payable data. • Collaborate with team members to improve efficiency in the accounts payable process. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or a related financial role. • Proficiency in coding invoices and handling payment operations such as check runs. • Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail. • Familiarity with invoice processing systems and financial software. • Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies effectively. • Excellent communication skills for vendor and team interactions. • Knowledge of standard accounting principles and practices.
