Description We are looking for a meticulous and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a short-term contract basis in Bell Gardens, California. This fully onsite position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in accounting and a keen eye for detail, as you will handle critical invoice processing and vendor communications. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will play a vital role in supporting the Finance Department and ensuring the accuracy of financial operations. Responsibilities: • Process and code a high volume of invoices with precision and timeliness. • Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Reconcile vendor statements and promptly address any discrepancies. • Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable files in accordance with company policies. • Assist with check runs, payment processing, and employee expense reimbursements. • Communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams to resolve payment or billing issues. • Support month-end closing by preparing accounts payable reports and performing reconciliations. • Perform additional accounting and administrative tasks as required by the Finance Department. Requirements • Must be at least 21 years old due to casino work environment regulations. • Valid California ID or Driver’s License required daily to obtain a security badge. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or similar roles. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software. • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, especially under tight deadlines. • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities to manage vendor relationships. • Experience with Sage 100 or similar accounting systems is a plus.
