Accounts Payable Clerk
Description Key Responsibilities: + Invoice Management: Review, verify, and process a high volume of incoming invoices for accuracy and compliance with financial policies. + Data Entry: Input invoice details into the accounting system, maintaining precision and avoiding errors. + Matching and Reconciliation: Perform 3-way matching of purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documents. + Vendor Communication: Communicate with vendors to resolve invoicing discrepancies, answer queries, and maintain strong relationships. + Expense Reports: Process employee expense reimbursements, ensuring adherence to company policies. + Payment Processing: Prepare and execute payment transactions (electronic transfers, checks, etc.) and monitor account balances. + Recordkeeping: Maintain up-to-date and organized financial files for audits and compliance purposes. + Month-End Closing: Assist with month-end closing procedures, such as accruals and reconciliations of accounts payable ledgers. + Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, such as sales tax payments. Requirements + Education: + High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is a plus. + Experience: + 1-3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience preferred. + Software Proficiency: + Experience with accounting software systems such as SAP, QuickBooks, or NetSuite. + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools. + Skills: + Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. + Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. + Problem-solving skills when handling payment or invoice discrepancies.
