Description We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Stamford, Connecticut. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions, including auditing invoices and reconciling expenses. This position is ideal for someone with strong data entry skills and a passion for delivering excellent customer service. Responsibilities: • Audit and process invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies. • Reconcile expense reports and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and documentation. • Communicate with vendors and internal teams to address billing and payment issues. • Perform data entry tasks with precision and attention to detail. • Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable. • Monitor and track payment statuses to ensure timely processing. • Provide exceptional customer service to address inquiries and support financial operations. • Collaborate with team members to improve accounts payable processes and workflow. • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and company standards. Requirements • At least 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a related field. • Proficiency in data entry with a high level of accuracy. • Strong skills in expense reconciliation and financial auditing. • Excellent customer service abilities with a proactive approach to problem-solving. • Familiarity with accounts payable systems and financial software. • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. • Ability to work effectively in an onsite environment in Stamford, Connecticut. • Strong communication skills to interact with vendors and internal teams.
