Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Glen Burnie, Maryland. In this contract to hire role, you will play a vital part in ensuring smooth financial operations by managing vendor invoices, reconciling statements, and supporting overall accounts payable processes. Responsibilities: • Process vendor invoices with accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring timely payment. • Reconcile vendor statements to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate records. • Enter invoices into the financial system while adhering to company policies and procedures. • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to address payment inquiries and issues. • Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable files for audit and reporting purposes. • Assist with month-end closing tasks related to accounts payable. • Utilize Microsoft Excel to manage data, perform calculations, and generate reports. • Monitor accounts payable aging reports to ensure proper follow-up and resolution. • Support the implementation of process improvements within the accounts payable function. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related financial role. • Proficiency in processing invoices and reconciling vendor statements. • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including data entry and reporting. • Familiarity with accounts payable systems and procedures. • Excellent organizational and time management skills. • Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members effectively. • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping. • Strong communication skills for vendor and internal team interactions.
