Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Solana Beach, California. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in financial operations, specifically accounts payable, to contribute to a dynamic and project-based environment. With a focus on accuracy and attention to detail, you will play a key role in managing vendor payments and supporting financial reporting. Responsibilities: • Process vendor payments, handling approximately 10 invoices daily with a focus on high-value transactions. • Ensure accurate coding and processing of invoices in accordance with company standards. • Conduct regular check runs to ensure timely payments to vendors. • Utilize accounting software such as Yardi or QuickBooks to manage accounts payable functions. • Collaborate with the accounting team to maintain accurate balance sheets and income statements. • Handle financial operations for a large volume of clients, managing 100+ accounts simultaneously. • Support project-based financial tasks outside the typical month-end timelines. • Review and reconcile accounts payable data to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Assist with financial reporting and advisory services as needed. • Maintain strong communication with vendors and clients to resolve payment-related inquiries. Requirements • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable or related financial operations. • Proficiency in accounting software such as Yardi or QuickBooks. • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-value transactions. • Experience with coding invoices and conducting check runs. • Familiarity with balance sheet and income statement preparation. • Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously. • Excellent organizational and communication skills. • Prior experience in a project-based accounting environment is a plus.
