Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Clerk to join our client's team in Walnut Creek, CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, ensuring accurate payments, maintaining financial records, and supporting the company's financial operations. This position requires excellent organizational skills, a strong work ethic, and proficiency with accounting software.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Invoice Review and Processing: Review all invoices for proper documentation, authorization, and approval prior to payment processing.
+ Payment Management: Process invoices, issue and print accounts payable checks, and obtain necessary signatures for disbursements.
+ Payment Distribution: Distribute signed checks as required and ensure timely vendor payments.
+ File and Record Maintenance: Maintain comprehensive accounts payable files, spreadsheets, and reports.
+ Cross-functional Collaboration: Assist Corporate Financial Officers and branch personnel with financial inquiries or support needs.
+ Monthly Closings: Support monthly financial closings by ensuring accounts payable records are up-to-date and accurate.
+ Administrative Tasks: Perform filing, copying, and organizational tasks to maintain department efficiency.
+ Order Management: Receive and organize all direct orders relating to accounts payable processes.
+ Support Role: Execute additional duties assigned by management to help achieve company mission, values, and goals.

Requirements
Required Skills and Expertise:
+ Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize and manage tasks efficiently to meet deadlines.
+ Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word, along with experience using automated accounting systems or spreadsheets.
+ Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues, vendors, and leadership.
Experience Required:
+ Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in an accounts payable or related financial role
